These terms apply when you download or use Rephrase, the AI keyboard for iPhone ("Rephrase", "the app", "we", "us"). By using the app you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. The app

Rephrase is a custom iPhone keyboard. It lets you type, fix grammar and rewrite text in different tones in any app. Rewrites are made by Apple's on-device model (on iPhones with Apple Intelligence) or, if you choose, by OpenAI using your own API key.

2. Price

Rephrase is free right now. We may add paid features or a subscription later. If we do, we will tell you the price before you pay, and payments will go through Apple's App Store under Apple's terms. Features that were free will not be charged for without your choice to buy.

3. Your OpenAI key

If you add your own OpenAI API key, you are responsible for it and for any charges on your OpenAI account. Your use of OpenAI is also covered by OpenAI's own terms and policies. You can remove your key any time in the app.

4. AI results

Rewrites are made by AI and can be wrong, incomplete or change your meaning. Always read the text before you send it. You are responsible for what you send. Don't rely on Rephrase for legal, medical, financial or other professional advice. You can tap Undo to get your original text back.

5. Your content

Your text belongs to you. We don't receive, store or claim any rights in it. See our Privacy Policy for how text is processed.

6. Fair use

Don't use Rephrase to break the law, to harass or harm others, or to create spam, fraud or other harmful content. Don't copy, reverse engineer, resell or tamper with the app, except where the law allows it.

7. Apple App Store

The app is licensed to you under Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA), together with these terms. Apple is not responsible for the app or its support, and is not a party to these terms. If these terms and Apple's EULA conflict, Apple's EULA applies.

8. No warranty

Rephrase is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don't promise the app will always work, be error-free, or that AI features will be available on every iPhone.

9. Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, money or reputation, from using or not being able to use the app, including messages sent with AI rewrites. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.

10. Changes and ending use

We may update the app or these terms. If we change these terms, we will update this page and the date above. Continuing to use the app means you accept the new terms. You can stop using Rephrase any time by removing the keyboard and deleting the app.
